In their latest work together, Nick Jonas and James Franco are showing us a side of fraternities seldom seen or openly talked about.
Based off Brad Land’s bestselling memoir, directed by Andrew Neel, and originally adapted by writer-director David Gordon Green, ‘GOAT’ is a story about two brothers, Brett and Brad – starred by Jonas and ‘The Book Thief’ movie star Ben Schnetzer respectively – who pledge the same fraternity.
As the story goes, things are going great until ‘Hell Week’ arrives as the first-years have to go through sessions of brutal hazing to prove their loyalty to the house.
To enter the brotherhood, Schnetzer’s character, Brad, must endure extreme humiliation and physical exertion in a senseless world of hyper-masculinity.
In the meanwhile, his brother Brett, who’s already sworn-in, gets caught between protecting his younger sibling and honoring the fraternity’s sadistic traditions.
Before you catch this provoking film in theatres from 23 September, here’s a preview trailer.
