It’s been less than a year since Keegan Hirst became the first British rugby league player came out as gay.
The 28-year-old Batley Bulldogs captain married a woman young, had two kids, and became hugely depressed because he wasn’t true to who he was.
So he told her, came out to the public a few months afterwards, and has lived his life as a proud gay man ever since.
And in that time, he hasn’t been exactly used to the gay dating scene. So where better to go on a date with a guy on TV in front of the whole country?
Hirst will be seen on Celebrity First Dates going on a date with personal trainer Paddy White.
The self-confessed ex-party boy tells Hirst on the date that he takes at least 50 selfies a day, posted over 100,000 tweets in five years, and admits to Hirst he posted social media updates during sex to his followers.
‘I was eager to make a good impression on Keegan and tried to impress him with my honesty and my humor, maybe I went just a little too far!’ White said.
You can watch Celebrity First Dates on Channel 4 on Friday at 9pm.
