BBC Eastenders fans are outraged after popular gay character Paul Coker was shockingly killed off in last night’s episode.

What started as the potential death of Paul’s lover Ben Mitchell soon took a twist as Ben’s father and brother were called to identify the body, revealing that it was in fact Paul that had died.

The cause of Paul’s death and the whereabouts of Ben are still a mystery.

Fans flocked to Twitter upset and outraged over the death of the character.

Paul’s long lost mother had also recently showed up looking for her son but didn’t get the chance to tell him who she was. His grandparents were planning on telling him the truth.

Although Paul’s cause of death is unknown fan’s have begun speculating that it may have been a homophobic attack as Paul and Ben were last seen walking down the street, holding hands.
