Big brother contestant ‘deeply embarrassed’ over fiancé’s needy Grindr messages

Andy West has broken his engagement after discovering his boyfriend was seeking sex on Grindr

Big brother contestant Andy West has officially broken up with his fiancé after texts sent over his Grindr profile were published in the tabloids.

Ed Hutton, West’s fiancé, proposed to West during a special on the show. It turns out before West had even entered the Big Brother House, Hutton been online scouting for other men.

The two were engaged during a game where contestants were challenged not look around and see their partners.

West, who was a BBC journalist until his controversial suspension, lost challenge, but immediately proposed to his boyfriend. Hutton, meanwhile, had bought his own ring with him, and the two proposed simultaneously in front of the cameras.

After the series ended on Tuesday, West said he felt he couldn’t ‘live without’ Hutton, but by Thursday the relationship was over.

The texts revealed in The Sun show Hutton asking another man for a ‘discreet fuck’, and a photo of his bum in a mirror.

West said he was glad the Sun posted the messages. On Thursday night West was seen out in Soho, London without his engagement ring on.

He said in a Twitter status: ‘I thought the drama would finish after leaving the house. Hey ho. Everyone’s kindness and encouragement keeps me going! Love you. X’.

In another tweet he complains his standards are too low.
