Stop the Hate, a video honoring those killed in the Pulse nightclub, will air on Logo TV

Today is an anniversary no one wants to remember. Forty-nine days ago, a man walked into the Pulse nightclub. The gay establishment, located in Orlando, Florida, was having its weekly Latin Night. This man pulled out a gun and began to shoot. Before being killed by police, the suspect murdered 49 and injured 53. Most of the victims were young and Latino.

Tonight, 31 July, Logo TV will air an 18 minute video called Stop the Hate. The video is sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the US.

‘In the wake of the Orlando massacre, HRC launched http://ift.tt/2ajzmgL to serve as a lasting memorial to the victims of the attack,’ the group writes on its website. ‘It is also home to resources and news about the wave of hate violence against the LGBTQ community, and visitors are encouraged to add their voice in support of commonsense gun safety legislation.’

The tribute is directed by Emmy Award-winning Ryan Murphy and Ned Martel. Forty-nine actors, directors, and other entertainment notables tell personal stories of those killed in the country’s deadliest mass public shooting.

The video will air twice on Sunday (31 July): 6:42 pm EST; and 11:00 pm EST.
