It made a splash on the LGBTI travel scene with its launch back in April – and now, gay beach festival TropOut has revealed it’s heading to New Caledonia for its next instalment.
The epic LGBTI event, which revolves around the concept of ‘chill, party and explore’, will take place on the overseas French territory from 6-13 May 2017.
The island in the South Pacific is known for its mind-blowing natural beauty, flawless sand and pristine waters.
TropOut’s Managing Director Aaron Zoanetti commented: ‘New Caledonia offers everything we look for in a destination – stunning beaches, warm weather, rich culture, amazing cuisine, tolerance and unique venues to host TropOut parties.’
He added: ‘When we first assessed New Caledonia as a possible host, we thought our biggest challenge might be finding unique party venues. But it’s even better than we ever dreamed of.
‘We’ve found a private island [above], a day-club floating above the reef and a even club that rises out of the lagoon like a hut in the Maldives to host our parties. Some of them can’t really be described in words.’
There, hundreds of gay travelers from the likes of America, the UK, France and Russia convened for a memorable week of fun in the sun [above].
Like the last instalment, plans for the blow-out include beach and pool parties, as well as lower key activities such as yoga sessions, cooking classes and sightseeing tours.
Attendees will be based at the four star Chateau Royal Beach Resort & Spa, located on a picturesque peninsula on the south of the island [above].
As well as New Caledonia, the event will return to Phuket in November 2017.
