The London Gay Symphony Orchestra may win a BBC competition to perform at the UK’s biggest classical music event.
The musicians have been selected as one of five best orchestras in the country for the BBC’s Great Orchestra Challenge.
Better still may follow. The winner will perform at Proms in the Park on 10 September, the culmination of the world’s largest classical music festival.

The Great Orchestra Challenge will screen later this month on BBC Four with the final on BBC Two.
