Park Theatre will host the European premiere of chamber musical The Burnt Part Boys from 10 August – 3 September 2016.
British director Matthew Illife will direct the production.
The Burnt Part Boys is a coming of age story set to a bluegrass-pop score.
Set in rural West Virginia, 1962. Fourteen year-old Pete’s fighting to claim his past. His older brother Jake is hoping to forge a future. With an eclectic band of friends teetering on the brink of adulthood, they’ve embarked on a life-altering journey to the coal-mine that took their father’s life.
Music is by Chris Miller and lyrics by Nathan Tysen, with book by Mariana Elder.
